Finally - enough time to pick up the Blog again

So here we go - a couple of last shots of the garden at No 2 Fairfax Gate before we pack our bags.

What on earth have we been doing for a whole year? We've been busy! But now is the time to sit down and record everything from the journey by car down through France and Spain, the birth of our first grandchild, lots of visitors, Christmas, birthdays and fun - as now we are fast approaching the first anniversary of our move to a new life in Spain.

Doug and Diane move to Spain - but first a dog named Bounty comes along for the ride!

Bounty, now nearly a year old, had to be withdrawn from the Hearing Dogs scheme because he has hip dysplasia. The charity's re-homing scheme finds homes for those dogs who need one as a pet, rather than as a working dog. So he will now find a comfortable home in the sun with his own private swimming pool for his hydrotherapy treatment by moving in with us! We understand he should have a good life if we keep an eye on his weight and don't over-exercise him. He has a lovely nature and is already very well trained.

Well finally, the house has sold and completion is due on 25th June, but the last few months since our return from our Grand Tour at the end of February have been frantic, keeping busy with some freelance work for both of us to keep the wolf from the door and welcoming a new member of the family.... a black Labrador named Bounty.
